Valve Spring recommendation

Sorry to ask another question. As I'm building this 390...I'm using 360 pistons, bored .030 over, edelbrock intake 4 barrel carb, headers, and a compcam 33-238-4 cam. The heads are stock for a 1973 Ford F100 390. The heads are in very good condition and I want to reuse them. Do I need to change the springs? If so, is stock spring replacement ok or do I need to get a performance spring?

Thanks for the information!

Spring requirements should be included with the cam. I looked it up, it should be Comp #924-16.

You will have valve float problems with the stockers at anywhere from 4000 to 4800 RPM, or at least I did. The condition get worse with the more miles that are on the springs. I would definately get their recommended springs and probably have a machinists set them up for you so that all the pressures are close or identical.
