I'm thinking around Memorial Day, but I could be wrong. I'm up that way often, actually just heading up there in about an hour. I think there is a website that can tell us, I'll look around. Are you from the Ogden area?
Most campgrounds around there open between May 1st and some don't open until around July 1st. All depends on which ones you are looking for.
I'm in the same boat as you. The city life is really getting on my nerves, and I can't wait to get out in the hills. The problem is, most of the hills are covered in a couple feet of snow.
A good resource for campgrounds (in Nat'l forests is Forestcamping.com)
Have fun

Mc check this out, the girl friend and I live along side east canyon creek and we are about ten minutes from the weber river. I just stuffed two browns and six rainbows into the smoker. Now keep this to your self one of the browns was about three pounds, got him behind the golf course below taggarts. This winter has been a mild one, the rivers have run clear at least till the run off comes. Hope this helps. Rod
3 Pound brown! I bet the river dropped a few inches when you pulled that out.
We went to the dunes, and what a perfect weekend. The sand was a bit choppy but very soft. Saturday night dutch oven ribs and potatoes with cobbler for desert. Sunday morning, 4th gear, 45mph, riding the high side of a giant bowl on the back of sand mountain. Good weather and lots of riding. at least for now the camping itch has been scratched.
