Hi everyone
I am a new member to this board, but have been reading off and on for awhile. I think there is alot of great info on hear and am hoping maybe someone can help me out. I have a 1994 F250 with a fuel injected 460. I have been having a issue with it not burning all the fuel. When I start the truck I get alot of blue smoke out of the exhaust and can smell fuel. Also when the truck is warm and I start it, it starts very hard. It will crank and crank until I tap the throttle then it will start. This is when the smoking is the worst. When it has sat all night it fires right up. Also when it is warm and at a idle it sounds very lopey and rough. The truck gets up to temp and I have ran injector cleander through it. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance and hope to chat soon.
I haven't checked for codes. I went to buy a scanner and because of the year of the truck they are not cheap. I do get a check engine light but it only comes on once in a while and only stays on for a few seconds.
I bought a scanner off e-bay for 20 bucks... Its just better to find out what codes its throwing out then just start putting money in it....bin there done that.
