400 problems
I've got a 400 that seems to like to burn up MSD boxes. I had one that ran for about a month and fried it. So I took it back and got a new one. It ran for about 9 months but it was always rough. When I turned the key, the engine would not fire until I released the key from the start position back to the on position. This box fried as well. So I tried a Mallory and that lasted for 1 START. Strangely though the original Ford box runs great. I have checked my wiring and it always matches up with what MSD or Mallory's directions. I also have been running the MSD Blaster 2 which is recommended for these boxes. I would love some insight to my problem.

I don't know what to tell you. I have an MSD 6al and a Mallory Dist. on my 400. I haven't had any problems so far (about 3months driving everyday). I'll be watchin to see what others say on this one. I also have the MSD Blaster 2 coil.
