Fronts were offered in 8 leaf as standard and an optional H/D 7 leaf. The rears were offered in 7, 8, 9, and a H/D 9 leaf spring. I'm assuming we're talking F-100?

Yep, F-100. I think I might have a HD-9 setup. Looks like a 6 leaf spring pack with 3 "helpers" attached to the bottom of that. I actually have 2 sets of springs to pick from. These 9 spring ones that I could pull some leafs out of or a set that the PO of my original frame already modified that look like they have 5 leafs in them. I'll get pics up as soon as I get away from work for more than 12 hrs, hopefully tomorrow or Tues.
So here's some pics of the 2 sets I have to choose from:
These are the ones I got off my parts truck, 9 leafs total
These are the ones modified by the PO of my original frame, 5 leafs total.
This trucks hauling days are behind it, should I just go with the 5 leaf rears assuming all the leafs are in good shape? Or should I modify my 9 leafers per Mid-Fifty's instructions?
If the 5 leafs are ok, clean them up and paint them. Make sure your pins and bushings are good. Drive it, see how it rides. You can always add back some if you don't like the ride.
