Ait Intakes

New owner, 2000 F250, Lariat, CC, SB, V10

Have seen several Intake systems for my vehicle.

Which has the most HP increase?

Lowest maintenence?

Recommendations are appreciated. If you have a Gallery, I'd love to see pics also.

Stay with the stock intake system but go with an aftermarket air filter element. Don't waste your money on a FIPK. No bang for the buck!

Thanks for the info ... Looking at the K&N, I just could not see spending +$200 for only a 12 hp increase ... so they say ... Now I can spend that money on something else...

There is no HP increase I think they all like lying...

Yep, there's little-to-NO hp increase. If everyone got 12hp for the money, we'd all have one, wouldn't we?! But, the reality of it is: you get "maybe" 2, 3, 5hp at best (and that's being generous). What you do get is a low drone sound under acceleration that gets annoying quickly. That's what makes you feel like you have more hp. The filters themselves are fine, but the whole FIPK "kit" for $200-$300 isn't worth it IMHO. Save some of that $$ and get yourself other goodies for the truck!
