I've got a bit of a vacuum leak at the manifold/head on my aluminum manifold. How do I proceed? Just back off all my bolts adjust and retighten or go all out with replacing gaskets and starting over? thanks, himmelberg
I was messing around with my aluminum intake a week or two after installing it. Bolts and nuts had been torqued to 28 ft lbs. I found that they were relatively loose and needed to be retorqued. I just started from the center, side to side and worked out, without loosening first or putting on new gasket.

Mike has given good advice. I noticed a discoloration on the head/intake in the middle cylinders on one side and to my chagrin, they were not much more than finger tight. I torqued them back dow using hte sequence in the shop manual and no problems since.
Peter, if you wind up taking that 553 off then run a straight edge and some machinists bluing or similar across the port surfaces. You may find some warpage that needs to be corrected.
