*$%# Pro Comp!!!

Well Hind sight is always 20/20. Right after I bought my Gas 250 cc this spring I had a Pro Comp 6.5" Lift installed. STUPID STUPID ME! I absolutely HATE it. I never knew a truck with such a long wheel base could ride so bad. So anyways Im going to chock that one up to being an uneducated consumer. Now my question is. Can I just buy Donahoe Leafs and continue to use all of the procomp pitman arms and trackbar brackets and still have a normal steering truck. Also I still have my stock leafs. Has anyone taken stock leafs and put the same length leafs in place of the Pro Comp Leafs?
STUPID STUPID STUPID!

Yes, you should be able just to swap springs......I'd also recommend a shock that's valved specifically for the SD.....adjustable trac bar is also a nice upgrade if you don't have one.

I would second DC on the trac bar.. an adjustable one would surely be useful to you. I wouldn't want to run the pro-comp trac bar bracket which was designed for 6.5" of lift, since it is very likely you new springs will not give the exact same amount of lift. With the adjustable trac bar you would be able to get it to just the right length ensuring that your front axle is actually centered. Besides, don't you want all of that crap off your truck anyways

good luck

I can see the adjustable track-bar having advantages, although I'd like to know why donohoe designed the bracket for it without taking into consideration that someone MAY want to tighten the locknut for the track bar after they adjust it on the truck. I'm tempted to put my stock one back on, just so I dont have to hear that loose locknut move around..

Sorry I got off on a tangent.. Other than that, I love the ride of the donohoe setup, but I have the fox external resevoir shocks, although I would like to compare them to the specifically SD valved units that donohoe offers..

Are you not happy with how the Fox's ride?
I'm thinking of getting them.

On the contrary, I *do* like the ride of the Fox shocks, I am just curious if the Donahoe's are better/worse/same, etc..
