Optimum tire pressure

Can anyone give the optimum tire pressure for a 2000 Explorer XLT? I do mostly freeway miles in my 40mile (1-way) commute to work.

I've noticed my gas mileage getting worse (I have 110k on the clock now) and wanted to tackle tire pressure first before looking at other possible causes.

thanks,
Declan

I'm running my '94 at 36psi and get 14mpg city and 21 mpg highway. I'm at about 106k.

I also run mine at 36 psi. Get 14 to 18 mpg with my '99 5.0 AWD.
