No company could make strips for diesel operators to test for anti-cavatation additives if they didn't do the job. The word would get around too quickly in this small world, and taint the reputation of all their other products.

I am still learning how to maintain my truck so most of the time I go by what other people are using and I know how important it is to maintain the SCA levels, I just don't want to ruin my engine over something stupid. Thanks for the advice.

"Something stupid" would be burying your head in the sand completely, and not even know about the requirement to maintain your cooling system. A good friend with a Cummins LOVES his engine, but is completely unaware about its maintenance needs. He'll have problems quicker than you will.
