ok we have our new toys with the v10 in them.
i'm wondering what else you like about your truck.
mine is a larait base trim. i like the fact that i don't have all that shinny wood grain from the lux. package, the smoother ride and love these over stuffed captains chairs
Hi Charlie, Your V10 shrunk any Hemi-rods lately? Have you ever noticed how they get smaller in your rear view mirror. As far as what else I like about my truck, in Canada , a lariat can only be had with the luxury pkg. and I have to like my shiny wood grain dash. The white guages are growing on me but still look better at night. My favorite toy is my moonroof. I like the way it lights up the cab, nice ventilation in the tipped up mode, and wide open it is quieter than most and I like that big hole in the roof. It automatically opens so far and if you push the button again it will open all the way. We have a moonroof on our 02 Honda Accord but it was too noisy to use over 40 miles an hour so I had to get a little plexi-glass visor for the Honda to quiet it down. Don't need it on the Ford. I know the Captain's Chairs are more comfy but somtimes I have my tools in the back seat and I have to put 3 people in the front. I can't imagine a Captain not having Captain's chairs so you ordered the right option.
I also like the new information centre on the 05. This is a big improvement over my 04 F350 and the mileage computer is very acurate. The steering radius on these trucks feels like a new toy as well . I drive this CC long box around town easier than my CC short box was to drive. The steering turns so much sharper it is easier to stay in my own lane on a sharp right turn. 11 years of driving diesels makes it hard to get used to the instant response of this V10 and the quiet is so nice. It is also going to be nice to be completely legal with my Camper on . This 11200 GVW gives me a full 3700 pounds of payload and my camper, tools, and gear go about 3400 pounds so that is a thing to look for. 80 % of the Campers on the road are over their GVWs and we have all done it for years but this is a different world we live in with law suits and insurance companies looking for reasons to drop your coverage. Your truck warranty can be void if you are overweight and this is one of the reasons you see these big jumps in GVW. Even as I type this Dodge and GM are scrambling to get the payload increase on their models. Take care, W.rench

I can lock it in 4WD Low, let off the clutch and hear the DRW's and the fronts grind away at the deep ditches and washouts in the riverbottoms while towing a 7K lb load up a steep hill - while the chevy guys stare flop-jawed, still wondering how they're gonna make it up that hill naked...and all alone.
wrench
no but i have some ram bones left over for my dogs to chew on. weather held back on hemi hunting. 10 inches of white and she loves that also. these 17 inch bfg at's are great in it. now if it will just clear up so i can post some photos after a car wash.
