4X4 Conversion
Hello, I'm at the beginning of swapping an 84 F150 4x4 onto an 84 2 wheel drive frame. The 4x4 frame was badly twisted and kinked and the "donor" 2 wheel drive frame was perfect. I searched the message board for info on this and pretty much came up with just the issue of changing the rear spring hangers. I already have the 2 WD frame stripped and painted, just getting ready to tear down the 4x4. Anybody done this before that may give me some pointers, maybe save me a little trouble further down the line? Will the brackets on the front of the 2 wheel drive frame for the I-beams hold the front drive axle, or do I have more rivets to cut out?
