My truck went in to the good kind of shop last week and I got to pick it up saturday. I think the wait was worth it!! It got the rubicon express 6.5 lift system and new 17"x10" centerline forged wheels , they are the cooler model. I got toyo open country m/t 37"x13.50R17 tires. Really made the truck look alot better! Let me know what ya think?
It rides very good! I`m very happy with the ride and quality of this rubicon express sustem!! No rubbing what so ever, in fact I have enough clearance I think 38" tires would fit with no rubbing.
Sweet!!! As Pauley Jr from OCC would say "It's sick" and I love it. I'm looking for the smiley of the face with drool coming out of the side, since I can't find it just imagine me doing it...
That is THE lift, tire, rim combo! I better go cut and paste 'cause THAT is what I'm getting. If you ever take the cap off, please take some pics and post them. And, keep us posted on the Rubicon ride, quality, et cetera.
jdfl44 , Yes after I installed all the new stereo equipment and tweecked the system I put the seat back. Thanks guy`s for the great comments!! I researched this lift wheel tire thing from last September right up to the the time I bought the wheels and tires. I have never had a lifted truck or riden in one , so it`s hard for me to judge the ride. I`m sure the very best riding lift system is the edge system , but I use my truck for hauling alot of heavy weight and I also tow alot.So I didn`t want to loss any payload and towing ability. Also I didn`t want to add air bags on top of a edge lift. To me the ride is as good as stock if not alittle better, it does a little more bounce than before. When I drove it home from johnsons offroad in danville il, I had all the old suspention parts ,plus the 4 stock tires and wheels and 1 weld 16x8 wheel with a trxus sts 33x12.50r16 tire on it ,plus 1 of the same wheel and tire combo thats on the truck now, with all that weight on it itrode outstanding!! Way better that stock! All the components in the rubicon express lift system are made very very well!! I would recommed this system hands down!!The toyo m/t are outstanding tires ,the differance between the toyo and thr trxus is like nite and day. I know I will never buy a super swamper tire again! The centerline cooler wheels are made very well they are a forged wheel and at less than $225 a wheel shipped to your front door you can`t beat them. Centerline has alot of new wheels styles and great prices and you can buy direct from them, thats what I did. Sorry for this long post!! Have a good one!!
Don't be sorry Loghomeman. This is the kind of posts we all like to see--well, at least I do. Lots of good info. Sounds like Johnsons did a great job for you. That is probably as important as the type of lift itself.
