Yeah, on the back 2 on hte passenger side, they hit on the HVAC unit. But other than those two, no.

When you torque them do they stretch like the leaf pack U-bolts do?

I'm curious about the 'soup bowl' that general wisdom on here says to remove. Any idea why it was installed in the first place? We all know more air is better, but I'm sure Ford had a reason to put the thing in there to start with. Until I know what that reason was I am uncomfortable removing it. I am new here (duh) and if this has been covered before i did not see it.

Fords idea of noise control. I had a '93 chebby K2500 / 350 that had a different sort of restrictor also. Took it out too. Must also be fed. noise compliance??
Just cut it out. It is the cheapest performance thing you can do on these things.
