Flathead and C4 Trans. Mounts

I am trying to dummy up my 48 F1 with my 53 Flathead block and a C4 Transmisson.I have the block on the original engine mounts, and i bought a new Ford crossmember for the transmisson, but when i turn the crossmember down its too low and when i turn it up its too high.Do i have to fabricate new motor mounts?Has anyone else ran into this problem?
Thanks in advance,Doug

I haven't done this upgrade and this might be a dumb question, but do you have the rubber insulator that bolts on the tranny between it and the crossmember? That piece comes in several configurations and varies from 2-4 inches in height from what I've seen.

I've got a couple of C4's in the shop, but I'm a stick tranny guy.

Yes i do have the rubber insulater and it appears to be about 2 inches thick.
If they do come in 4 inches, that may be enough to bring it to the proper hieght.
