Manual Tranny Temps - Normal?

I know they dont, but im installing one cause I offroad hard...
I just want to know. Its mainly to preserve the fluids, Im not really too afraid though. Whats another guage besides tranny, pyro or boost that is also not on the factory dash display that is worth having?

I found no info re trans temps on the ZF 5-42 go to their web page and contact them.

Manual Temps
I suppose you could put a thermo switch in the case but that would require drilling a hole near the bottom of the case. that would put it at risk of being torn off while off-roading. the glory about manual transmission is that they never overheat. manual trannys use gear oil for lubrication not for operation. they can actually run with out fluid for an extended period of time (wouldnt recommend it though) to put it point blank with you. YOU WILL BURN YOUR CLUTCH UP BEFORE YOU OVERHEAT YOUR TRANSMISSION. hope this helps...
