I haven't heard anything about that in awhile. I know around the time he died there was talk about the movie. Joaqim Phoenix is supposed to play J.C. Have to see if he can really pull it off, not an easy thing to do IMO. Not sure who's playing his wife. Definitely gonna check it out tho.
I'd like to see that. I'm not in to country music at all anymore, but I can tolerate Mr.Cash. Just this last year I heard a song by him that was new to me, it was something like "when the man comes around" I think it kicks ***...
He had a hell of a life from what I know of him. He'll be missed and talked about for a long time, definately left his mark.
sounds like it would be an awesome movie, and i think joaquin phoenix is a great actor. i think he could pull it off, but it may be tough because of the singing parts. i think hes got the proper "look"
johnny cash is and always be a legend- spent over 50 years entertaining people and did a great job doing so.
if jamie foxx did so good portraying Ray Charles, i think Joaquin Pheonix could handle Johnny Cash.
i loved "Hurt" the last big song johnny cash did before he left us, the cover from Nine Inch Nails' singer. its a very deep song, and it targeted people of all generations. i know people from 14 years old to 70 years old who liked it and it reminds me about how i feel about my life sometimes.
Johnny Cash is what country music used to be. the new stuff is just soft rock with a country twist. I remember riding around in my dad's pickup-truck listening to Johnny on the eight track, man that was a long time ago considering my dad died when I was 8. Must have been almost 30 years ago. I remember singing along to "rock island line"(or something like that). I think his life would make a great movie.
