part# help

I was wondering if there is a way to trace a part # from a chrome piece I found.? It goes on the pass. door inside, right by the upper hinge bolt cover. The # are czdb-64017a05-a and under that is 3kbc020376 this tag has nothing on it but looks like it did at one time. i've never seen another with this and wondered if any of you have? thanks alot. this is on a 63 unibody and seems to be original doors.

Those are Ford engineering numbers. You really need a book they put out to the dealers to convert them to part numbers. What you have is the "Plate assy, Trade mark". It's part number C2DZ 64017a06-A. Parts book list it for 62-63 only and is on the E, F, N, NT,T series trucks. It says" Product of Ford Motor Co." on it.
I located one on the locator if you want to replace it.

Melvin's Classics Conyers, Ga. 1-770-761-6800 qty 1 in stock.

It has a 62 Falcon part number, so it was used on the Falcon-Fairlane lines also.
