Cruise control quit working
Can any one tell me what the common cause is, that makes the cruise control stop working. I have three Fords and the cruise stopped working on all of them. The fuses are still good. I have a 1992 f250 supercab, 1993 f250 supercab, and a 1995 Bronco,

Check the brake pressure switch on the front of the master cylinder first. It must be closed for the system to work. Check for any evidence of leakage in connector and replace if leaking; there is recall on later F150's on this on fires. Check for the brake pedal switch (under dash - also works brake lights - it cuts system off whrn you hit brakes in cruise mode. Do you have any problems with horns or air bag lights - indicates possible problem with clockspring assy under steering wheel. Can also be the servo unit at drivers side firewall - mine got moisture in it and froze up mechanically - cleaned and lubed it, and it's working. Good luck.
