Wiper Motor Problem

I just recently installed a new motor for my wipers and when I connected the linkage along with the arms and turned on the windshiled wipers the arms go down and jam into the hood. It seems to me the motor is turning in reverse. What can I do? Can I reverse the connections such as positive and negative?

Any help is appreciated. I gotta use my truck tonight.
Thanks

This one has me scratching my head. I would think that even if it was turning backwards it would still move the wipers the right way. I've only changed two F series wiper motors, but they worked normal when I was done. With my luck, I should of had your problem too.

I may have to go out in the yard and look in the wiper cowl on my truck to refresh my memory.
