well I got my distributer back in so i figured i would start a new post for this,
85 302 efi auto 4x4 dual tanks
an apon replacing the dist, i removed the plugs to see if they were fouled or wet from water,,
all the plugs were fouled,, with fuel. and the rearmost drivers side plug was soaked in fuel.
so with all the plugs out ,and the coil disconected, i cranked the truck over to see if there was any water comming out. Well fuel came shloshing out of the rearmost drivers plug hole,
After that i disconected the relay for the pumps, having doing that , i cranked it over again ,, and still fuel came pumping out of that plug hole.
im assuming that i have a bad injector, any ideas??
would excessive fuel in that cylinder, cause the truck to smoke white smoke ??
It sounds as if you have a fuel pressure problem , check it first . Too much fuel will cause black smoke . Is the white smoke constant , are you losing any coolant ?
well gang,, i changed the faulty injector, with a donor from the salvage yard,, and wola all better,, just one problem ,, the engine is now full of fuel.. in the oil that is. so time for another oil change!!!
I also had or i should say have a, what appears to be a rear main leak ,, can i pull the pan with out any problems ,, or do i have to jack the motor ,, What am i looking at here,, i need to change the seal. I would also like to know how hard it is to change the rear main??
Hey Dude,If Your Motor Is Full Of Fuel You Have A Bad Fuel Pressure Regulator,VERY BAD!!! It Can Damage Your Motor By Reducing The Lubrication Properties Of Motor Oil.Worse Than That,When This Excess Fuel/oil Mix Fills Your Cylinders You Get Hydraulics,Ya Know;Can't Compress A Liquid.Don't Drive The Truck Untill You Replace It,Or You'll Be Sorry<;
