i thinking about getting headers for my truck and only have one question left.
if a straight piece of pipe were connected to the headers, would it clear the transmission crossmember? or would there have to be a bend in it to clear?
i want to do the whole system myself by using straight pipe and pre-bent pieces.
It depends on the type headers you buy and where they drop to. Probably will need some bending. Put on your headers then crawl under and look, only real way to know.
i dont have the headers yet, the hedman 89270, long tubes. i dont want to pay the local shop $150-200 to custom bend two pipes from the headers to a single high flow cat behind the trans crossmember. i just want to know if a straight pipe off the headers would clear the trans crossmember so i could do the whole system myself.
