64 ford 12 volts?

64 ford 12 volts?
I haven't really thought about the electrical system on my truck. Is it 6 volt or 12. it's a 64 f100 I'm pretty sure it's a 12 volts system. I did some work on it last time i was home but didn't look at that. I'm going back home in march and I'm gonna buy a pertronix ignitor II system. I want to make sure it will work before i buy it. sure hope 64's are 12 volts.

definately 12 v., '55 was 1st year for 12 volt. 64 was transition year in trucks from generator to alternator so if you have a 64 w/an original alternator.....its relatively rare...not sure on date of switchover.
