What's your longest running friendship? Today I got an email from a friend in Sweden. We met my junior year of high school, when I was an exchange student over there at age 15 and have been friends ever since. I visited a few years later, and he came over here for six weeks a couple of years after that. We haven't seen each other in 25 years, but have stayed in contact and I would have to say that he is my oldest (or longest-running) friend.Yes, I do have friends who are older, but none that I have had for as long. -TD

Well, I dont rank in age with the rest of you (no offense intended), I'll be 16 in about 2 months (legally drive the Ford alone, thank heavens) and I've had a few friends from church since a couple months or so, I guess about 4 of em, so 15 1/2ish years. Times 4... thats 62 years
My best friend,Tim, and I met when we were both 2. We are now both 27. 25 years and still going. His daughter was born this past Wednesday. Which also happens to be my birthday, too! (that should at least give me the ability to remember her birthday ).
My oldest friend is 85 years young and still kickin'!
My friend Tricia and I literally grew up together... down the street a block from each other! We were maybe 3 when we started to be friends, and while it's been rocky in patches, we still go out occasionally and talk on the phone. So that's what... 18 years or so?
I moved a lot when I was little, so I don't have many long term relationships with people, I think the longest running friendship has been since 7th grade, I still talk to him every now and then, haven't seen him since we were 12-13, i'm 18 now. I have friends that I made in high school my sophmore year, the 4 of us are close, yet distance wise, I'm a few hours away from all 3 of them. and then of course, the gf of a year, but thats it. I wish I hadn't moved so much when I was little. 12 times between grades K-12, 3 times in 7th grade(3 different schools in a year, talk about brutal). 2 in 6th, and finally settled down from 8-12, so yeah, ya'll do the math on that one, 10 schools K-7.
