Longest Friendship?

What's your longest running friendship? Today I got an email from a friend in Sweden. We met my junior year of high school, when I was an exchange student over there at age 15 and have been friends ever since. I visited a few years later, and he came over here for six weeks a couple of years after that. We haven't seen each other in 25 years, but have stayed in contact and I would have to say that he is my oldest (or longest-running) friend.Yes, I do have friends who are older, but none that I have had for as long. -TD

This guy (I told to realize exactly what he is & what he should do about) in October 2003 had been my friend since I was 6 and he 4.

In October 2003 I was 53 1/4, so what is that ?..... 47 years

The few remaining CLOSE friends of Longevity I speak to regularily are:

Ray = 34 years
Gary & Betty = 31 years
Bruce & BJ = 31 years
*Darrel* & Corrine = 31 years
Craig & Deb = 15 years

Well, I dont rank in age with the rest of you (no offense intended), I'll be 16 in about 2 months (legally drive the Ford alone, thank heavens) and I've had a few friends from church since a couple months or so, I guess about 4 of em, so 15 1/2ish years. Times 4... thats 62 years

My best friend,Tim, and I met when we were both 2. We are now both 27. 25 years and still going. His daughter was born this past Wednesday. Which also happens to be my birthday, too! (that should at least give me the ability to remember her birthday ).

My oldest friend is 85 years young and still kickin'!

My friend Tricia and I literally grew up together... down the street a block from each other! We were maybe 3 when we started to be friends, and while it's been rocky in patches, we still go out occasionally and talk on the phone. So that's what... 18 years or so?

Well I got a couple friends that I've had for a long time. One of them is my wife - a true friend for some 20 years or so.

The second is one of the guys I work with....we've known and worked with each other for 24 years.

Im have been alive fewer years than most of your friendships. But, I think the longest so far is about 14 years.

Thumbs up

The best friend I have had since the day I was born - has always been on my side and never ever let me down. Myself.

You see, you gotta be your own best friend before you can be someone elses.

Just thought I would say that!!

I moved a lot when I was little, so I don't have many long term relationships with people, I think the longest running friendship has been since 7th grade, I still talk to him every now and then, haven't seen him since we were 12-13, i'm 18 now. I have friends that I made in high school my sophmore year, the 4 of us are close, yet distance wise, I'm a few hours away from all 3 of them. and then of course, the gf of a year, but thats it. I wish I hadn't moved so much when I was little. 12 times between grades K-12, 3 times in 7th grade(3 different schools in a year, talk about brutal). 2 in 6th, and finally settled down from 8-12, so yeah, ya'll do the math on that one, 10 schools K-7.
