I suspect the distributor cap will be labelled with the plug numbers. On my 88 300-6, the wires just sort of hang there; there's no looms or clamps. The Motorcraft wires on my truck are all about the right length, and don't really touch anything else. If you wire it up and the truck runs terrible or not at all, you probably have the cap on backwards; rotate it 180 degrees, and you should be fine.
