Wheel well liners?

Were there "liners" in the wheel wells for 1965-66? I didn't think they were used on those years, but a friend says there were. I'm thinking he has the years mixed up, but then again I could be wrong.

No, there were no liners. Just the inner fenders made of steel.

Those inner fender plastic liners didn't appear until the late 70's, 78-79 .
