I have a 1982 ford truck with a 300 six cylinder and a single barrel Carter carburator. I had to replace a couple of pushrods then we reset all the valves and timed it with a light right to specs. We also put in a new carb kit but now when I go to start it when it is cold it wants to go
"PUFF OR PSST-SPIT" through the throat of the carb on initial start the after it is warm it seems to run and start fine. The sound could be mistaken for a backfire but I don't think it is because a backfire is usually louder. Does anyone have a clue what it could be
