I have never drained the fuel filter. I was checking it out and saw a yellow arm at the top of the filter housing. Is this the drain? If so, where do you catch what you drain? I was underneath looking around and can find no hose or anything.
yeah that little yeller lever is the fuel/water seperator drain. this lever drains everything from the fuel bowl right down the engine and all over the driveway and the guy underneath the truck! there is no way to catch all of the fluid as it just runs everwhere. i bought some brake line and a piece of brake tube as well as some hose clamps and ran it down the engine and had it come down right behind the bumper. i did this when i replaced the factory system with the high flow fuel bowl assembly. i saw how stupid that drain was when i pulled it out of the truck and decided to fab up a tube to run all of the drain off fuel in right into a bucket. less mess and alot easier to clean up
