Greetings, Its been awhile. I want to lift the front of my truck 2 inches. I have lowered the rear 2 inches and with the lift I will have taken the rake out of the truck completley. I found some made by Rancho but the people that can order them for me say I have to do some major work on the front end to acomodate the lift. All I see is an alignment. Anyone with this experience?
Hrm, sounds like your front springs are collapsed in the first place, get yourself a set of stock replacements for a 351W/C6 truck, or, if that's what you have, try a set for a F250.

Shop your local off-road pro shops for prices, and see what is available out your way. It may need to be special ordered, but I doubt it.
Lift coils are available in every size from mild to outrageous, whatever you want.
The coils are pinned in place by a clamp on the shock hanger, and also on the perch at the bottom. Look at it, and you'll see them.
Sometimes the coils bow after an alignment, but I wouldn't worry about it. From everything I've heard it still gives a smoother ride than converting to a straight axle
