low voltage
i have a 88 bronco and at stop lights when it hits idile the voltage almost drops to the red 8v. When im on the freeway its fine but when the lights go it drops back down. It was fine one and the next started doing this. Any info about this would be great.

also i replaced the positive cable right before it started. I checked to make shure it was tight. While doing one of the post broke of the starter switch. Thinking mabe put to smale of a gauge wire i think it was 6 gauge. I have a 2 gauge wire siting here ill pu that on in the morning to see if that helps. Most likly not though.

6 is the OEM cable size. I'll go with Netfly's suggestion on this one. If that is not the problem, you may want to check the NEG battery cable. If the POS was in need of replacement, the NEG may be too.
