Speedo with 31's

I put a set of 31x10.5 r15 on my 86 f150 4x4 and I am just wondering what the difference is on the speedo? I have heard that about 5km difference is correct but which way? If I am going 60km an hour is that 65km or 55km? Thanks guys.

Your speedo will read SLOWER than you are actually going. Should be about a 6.5% difference from stock tires. At least that's what it was on my '93 F150 after installing the 31x10.50's

You can change the speedo gear to get the speedometer reading pretty close to accurate . This website too I think has a lot of gear / speed related formulas & charts to help . http://www.4lo.com
