351m to 351c

351m to 351c

Hey guys,

I just bought a 79 f150 with a 351m w/ auto. tranny engine is about shot.

I have a blue printed 351c w/ tranny that was pulled out of a 82 bronco.

How difficult would it be to swap the 351m for the 351c in this application.

I failed to mention that i kept the mounts and perches out of the bronco, and the 351c tranny is also automatic.

You'll need small block engine stands and mounts for a 69 to 79 F100, to make it work.

Thanks steve. Any difference in the driveshaft or tranny crossmember ?

I think the 351C and M have the same mounts and towers. Are you sure you have a 351C though? They weren't put in trucks, for good reason. The tranny crossmember and mount are the same for automatics from 73-96.

100% sure its a cleveland.
After thinking about it I'm just going to drop a 460 in it.
I was kinda wary of puttin the cleveland in anyway.
