I have a 1999 Ranger with a 3.0 Flex Fuel motor. 4X4 with Offroad package with 16" stock rims (245/75/16 tires). I am in the process of getting a new set of tires for my ride. My question here is which rim width should I use?
I am getting a set of 31/10.5/15 Pro Comps. I would like to get 10" rims but do not know how they would look with 10.5 tires, or how they would clear the chassis or body. The local dealers all say that I should run 8" rims.
Definately go with 8". It will look retarded (IMO) with 10" wheels and 31x10.50's. Plus you'll have more chance of wheel damage with 10" wheels, and they'll likely rub when the suspension is cycled.
