Yet another shock question

Okay, I apoligize for asking much of the same question here, but I have search previous posts and looking for some info that fit my bill a little more.
So here goes, I have a 2000 4wd c.c., long bed, drw, with a stroker. I am looking to go with either the Rancho 9000's or the Bilstein's, I've seen lot's of positives for the Bil's, but I like the idea of the adjustibility of the 9's since the bed of my truck can go from one extreme to the other. I usually run with about 200-300 lbs of tools at the front, up high, with 3-4 passengers and later that day I may run with a couple thousand pounds of drywall and no passengers. All of this while cruisin the streets of northwest Illinois (you know our conditions). So anybody else out there with the same requirements that's happily running one or the other? Thanks in advance to all who are out there for all the help I've received without having to ask.

i put the 9000's on my truck because i am either empty or have a 2500# camper in the bed while pulling a 20 ft boat. they make a huge difference

Thanks Wlihntr, are you running the in-cab, or are you just twisting them manually? and how often have you had to adjust the fronts? I have been leaning more to the 9's just because of the ability to adjust them.

manual, a buddy of mine has the in cab and he can not get it to stop leaking. when i am empty i put all 4 at "1" and leave them, when loaded i run the rear at 5 and the fronts at 3. i have the older 5 pos. units the new 9 pos ones may be softer on the lower setting and harder on the higher setting, you will just have to do some trial and error

When I got my 9's the word was that the in cab adjusters would bleed down... so I didn't get them...
and haven't missed them... really...
BUT, have heard the newer in cab adjusters may be better....
dunno....

Thanks guys!! I have been doing a LOT of reading of previous threads, and every time I think I made my final decision, I change it. But still leaning pretty much to the 9's, the idea of a firm ride from the Bil's conjures up images of the thump-thump feeling over every bump in the road I had with an old lifted, solid axle cheby, not thinking that's what I want. Thanks again.
