94 Bronco Starting trouble.

Have been having trouble starting my 94 Bronco after it sits 24 hours or more. I can usually get it started but have to keep the gas pedal pressed to the floor and its starts very rough. It starts eventually but usually requires several attempts. Once it starts it runs fine and does not hesitate or stall. I suspect a fuel system pressure regulator!? Any one have any thoughts?

It sounds like it is running too rich when first started, so it's possible that it is the fuel pressure regulator not working properly. There are a lot of things that could cause your symptoms, though. Next time, shut the truck off after it starts, but while it is still running rough. Then pull one of the spark plugs and see if it is gas fouled. That will help to narrow down the problem.

I would also listen to see if the fuel pump is working properly. When you turn the key to the on position make sure you can hear it whine for a few seconds. It could be that your fuel pump is not wanting to kick in until the vehicle is running. Have you replaced the plugs lately?
