Does anyone know if it's possible to do an aftermarket conversion from front bucket seats on an F250 to a front bench seat?
The buckets were a great idea until we started to need the room with kiddos LOL! If I can switch from the buckets to a front bench that would be the cheapest way to expand for the growing family!
I'm not sure about the F250, but its probably similar to my F150 (2001), and if so, it should be easy. I have the 40/60 seats and the driver seat is exactly like the bucket seat. The passenger seat is bolted in just as the passenger bucket seat would be. The center portion is cantilevered over to the left where the console would be. There are no direct attachments between the center of the seat and the floor.
If yours is similar, you can remove the console, unbolt the passenger bucket, and bolt in a "60" passenger seat.
Enjoy the kids! We have four and they are the best part of my life, but they grow up and leave way too fast.
Depending on the year of your truck and your interior color, I would trade you. I know that the seatbelt location changed, I think it was in 2000 but I'm not positive. If your truck has the same seats as a 97 does and they are gray, the swap would work. Let me know if you are interested.
