I have a 91 F-250 with a plow and the front springs are flat if not slightly inverted. I was considdering adding a leaf from Ruff Country part # 6120 which is a single 3" wide spring that you bolt onto the origional leaf springs.
Now Ruff Country Technician tells me this is not a problem and will work beautifully. When I asked several local mechanics they all tell me this will not work and I need to replace the entire front leaf springs. Has anyone delt with this?
i have a 96 f250 4x4 and put a set of rough country add a leafs to level my truck out they worked but i had to buy a set of drop brackets for the ifs, to get the alignment back in. time consuming but i'm happy with the results.
Drop brackets for the entire leaf spring set? Why was this I was told by technician that if you open the clips and put the whole set you will not need anything additional?
The drop brackets are for the axles. The springs bolt together easily. The truck sits higher and the front tires look look like this\ /. the brackets that bolt the axles to the frame have to be replaced with ones that lower the axles so the tires look like this | |.
