I am planning on going with the TSL radials but they come in 38x15.50x16.5. I also like the swamper sx but I had a friend that had a set and they only lasted about 20k miles

BFG Mud Terrains are also good off road and last longer than most mud tires on the road.

Thats kinda like asking what kinda fuel economy I get out of a stroker big block, those two items should not be in the same sentence.

Haha, they don't last long at all.. but they perform really well. One of my freinds have them on his truck for mudding only and then he just swaps out with BFG's, I doubt you have that much money though lol. If I were you I would check out national tire and wheel, they have some good mud tires, and prices aren't too bad.

ok we've discussed this on several occasions so if you search or browse past posts you will prolly find your answer there.

most would say ground hawgs cause they have a pretty hard rubber compound but they aren't awesome offroad either. the TSL ssr's are very good offroad and they last a long time on the street... Ho is running a set on his PSD and they are wearing beautifully.

boggers won't last you much longer than about 15-20K miles... given how hard you drive and how well you take care of your tires and maintain them.

Unless you already have your rims, i would stick with a 16" rim if possible, as the 16.5" rims have use a gay tapered bead that can allow the tire to "fall" off the bead at low PSI (like 10 and lower), the 16" rims use a square cut bead and are a lot better when aired down.

For tires i have to agree with cutts, either the ground hawgs or the SSR's l

nope, not true, 15" rims will rub on the calipers, not the 16, these trucks came stock with 16's as well.

you need to ask whoever told you that smack themselves across the face and quit giving out bad info! i am running 16's on my truck currently. you could run 15's by grinding the calipers down enough but there has been much debate on whether or not it is still safe.
