Tired 302

Need a little help on something...my 82 F250 has 270,000 on it and the 302 powerplant is on its last leg. I have an automatic and was wondering if a fresh 351W will bolt up without too much trouble. I'll be sticking with a carburated model. Any help or suggestions will be very welcome.

Will bolt in. Things to address:
1. Rear sump oil pan for a 351w (mine was a 4x4)
2. exhaust manifolds and y-pipe (the 302 manifolds will fit but not correctly).
3. throttle cable (I rigged mine)

There are a couple of other areas that will bit you depending on your donor engine. The biggest one that I found when I stuffed a 351W in my '81 F100 was the A/C mounting bracket and the power stearing pump mounting bracket which don't fit because the 351W is taller than the 302. I ended up just ignoring the A/C bracket with the plan on getting the right one the next time I went to a salvage yard and I welded an extension on for my power stearing pump bracket. They both have held up with out any problems for the last 2 1/2 years. The right brackets would have been nice.

Just a note: because the factory exhaust won't bolt up, it is a great time to add headers and a dual exhaust as well.
