Help-should i be concerned?
Hey all, im in seek of guidance-
i have a 05 scab fx4. there seems to be clicking and popping in the cab. it annoys the hell out of me. its not just a single click either. it happens consistently, even when the truck is off. when i turn on the air cond(change temp in cab), the ticking/popping gets louder. the sound comes random but i swear it sounds like something is cracking. when i get out of my truck(truck is off) i hear the ticking on the outside near the hood.to make matters worse, when i close the door,or if i rock the truck back and forth i hear the sound of eggs frying. it sounds like a liquid is dripping onto something really really hot. i am seeking your advice. ive got 4500mi. and love my truck..i just need to stop all the racket in the cabin so we can drive off into the sunset! any help would be greatly appreciated.

When I first got my 04 FX4 the dash and winshield area snapped, crakled and popped like crazy. The first time I turned on the AC I thought it was gonna explode. I have a small hill with some cracked pavement down the street from the house and when I drove over it the truck sounded like it was coming apart. Every turn or change of angle on the truck seemed to cause it to creak and whine.
Now the good news. I was told early on that the truck needed to "wear into itself". The plastic on plastic and plastic on metal would eventually stop squeaking. I wiped the dash down with armor-all on a regular basis and that seemed to help (maybe like oiling a squeaky door) but the problem stopped once the summer hit. Once the truck baked in the sun a couple of hot days it just went away
