I have found 2 trucks at the junkyard with efi 300-6 engines. One has dual tanks and the other does not. But I thought that the 300 used higher pressure pumps, and I would not be able to use them.
if you have a 302, grab from the high pressure pump to the stuff on the motor from the bronco, and grab both fuel pumps and selector valve from the 300-6 truck.
Yea, I have a 302, I bought from junkyard as efi with roller cams, I temperarily put a carb on it so I can drive the truck.
So the in tank pumps on the 300 are the same as the 302?
That is a big relief, because that could mean that when I am done with the switch I will have both tanks runing, and the junkyard has 2 of thoes 300's, one with dual tanks the other without so I will be able to find 2 good pumps(I hope).
Another Question.
When I got this engine it was efi, and the oil pan had a valve in the side. I replaced the pan with the other (non efi) pan and now that I am going to do the switch again, will I have to change it back. If I do have to change it, is it easy enough to do withought taking the engine out (it is a split pan).
Thanks for your help guys.
