Does anyone have a good way of converting the 1996 Rear drum to a Disc setup?? Everyone that I have seen is for a 1/2 ton or less. I have played with the idea of swapping axles wholesale from a superduty but I want to keep the 8x6.5 bolt pattern.
I thought this was the best forum to ask in b/c more people in here haul more.
I'm unsure about what I'm supposed to be looking for on the site. When I type it in I just get a SkyCo index of branches. Nothing about brakes and when I choose Sky Manufacturing from the Dropdown nothing happens.

if you do the axel swap then the bolt pattern will be different front to rear.
disc brakes cost more to replace when needed. maybe a little extra stopping power though. also the e-brake on a full drum style is far superior to the small drum inside the SD 's rotor.
