i have a 1983 F-150 4x4 with a 302 in it, im looking for a new motor for it but i dont know how much to spend or if i should just get a rebuild kit for it. the reason i need a new motor is i blew a head gasket and didnt know it until a few months after it happend i checked the oil and noticed water in the oil, then after a lil while the oil pressure would drop off to nothing after warm up.

I just bought a 1983 F100 custom that the previous owner had put a 302 out of a 1987 LTD. It gets great gas mileage, I drive about 5 miles back and forth to school and a tank will last me couple weeks. But I am old school and agree that if the 300 six was rebuilt to specs, you cant beat it.
