What gears do i have
what was the most common rear end gears for a 1982 f-150. it has a 300 4 speed tranny with granny low. i cant read the tag on the rear end to tell what it says. thanks for any help

have basically the same truck. If it's a 9", it's prolly a 2.75, if it's a 8.8", 2.47 or 3.08. they were the most common with the 300-six/manual trans. There were also others, like 3.50, 3.70, 3.00 and others as well...so you'll probably end up scraping off the nasty stuff on the tag to be sure.
