replacement console shifter?
Does anyone offer a replacement for the plastic factory console shifter. I thought I saw a post from a guy replacing his with a MOMO unit, but I can't find any info on it. I would love to get rid of the plastic shifter as soon as possible.

I just read this and did'nt run out to see if I have a PLASTIC shifter in my Lariat.Are you kidding?Are you talking about the transmission shifter on the console?

A few weeks ago I was at the dealer and the service writer showed me the booklet on the new lincoln truck. The shifter in the picture appeared to be leather wrapped (black) looked real nice. I know factory stuff is expensive but it would be an exact replacement. Just a thought.

That's not good news. Wonder why they would make it different when they already have one. That costs extra money to build. I could see making it out of better material since its a Lincoln.

Their missing out on a lot of shifter sales by making them different to. I'm sure many people would upgrade if something was available.
