Mallory HyFire Ignition compatible?

Hey there, I run a 93 F150 302 and the question I have is will the Mallory Hyfire 6A CDI ignition box work with the system in the truck. I have researched the product and the specs refer to it not working with a hall effect ignition. Any advice would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks
Jeremy

I'm running one in my 97 f-350 460/e4od.I think it has the same factory ignition as your truck.

What do you think of it? Do you have an aftermarket coil and wires as well?

Don't know if it made a differece since I put it on when I got the truck. Had it sitting on the shelf. Stock coil and wires. I hear big ignition systems like that don't do anything until you make alot of horsepower.

You're quite right on the horsepower. The CDI ignitions really work under high rpm conditions when the factory units are just not built for it. The multiple strike spark helps the low rpm response as well as startup. What I have heard as well is the added spark helps burn left over fuel which aides the combustion efficiency resulting in an improved fuel milege. I believe the Mallory provides the multiple strike up to approximately 3500 rpm , after that it cuts back to the single spark, but at that point it really doesnt matter if a good coil wires and plugs are used. Thanks again.
