I've already posted this in the suspension forum but I'm not getting much for replies over there. I figured people with my specific vehicle might be able to help out a bit more.
Howdy folks! My first post so go easy on my lack of knowledge. Thanks!
I just purchased a 2000 Excursion with the V-10. It has aftermarket wheels and tires and, I would assume, a lift of some sort. I haven't actually seen this vehicle in person yet since I'm over in the middle east for a few more months. I just couldn't pass up the deal!
So, whithout any further adeu....please check out the pictures in my gallery and see if you can identify the lift. I'm guessing factory shocks since the seller said Ford installed them and they look stock (yay! I get to buy Ranchos!!)
Also, it being a Utah truck (road salt) it has a lot of bottom rust. What would you recommend fixing first? Diff covers are obvious & easy but what else could be a potential problem there?
It is very difficult to determine the manufacturer of the lift from the pics you have. The only thing I can say for sure is that the shocks are not stock Ford. The X did not come with that type of shock being white. The stock white shocks had a red boot. For the year of your vehicle it should have had very thin black shocks.
