Leaking EBPV
2001 F250 7.3L CC 4x4 lariat
Noticed my ebpv was leaking after doing the HPX mod. Had the dealer check and they said it was the ebpv. Under warranty, they replaced the ebpv seals (per a TSB), but when I picked my truck up this evening, they also replaced both CAC boots. They look different (from what I remember). They have two sets of wire around the middle of the boots what seems would help in keeping it from expanding out. My paperwork did not explain the boot replacement and the diesel tech will not be in tomorrow. Has anyone had their replaced also?
I will have to make sure I do the CCV mod soon. When they removed the CAC boots, there must have been quite a bit of oil in the intercooler. I see a very big oil stain under the boot locations on both sides.
I can order my exhaust now since all the bolts have been loosened for me.
