Gas Problems on 1986 302 EFI
Without a cartridge in the canister filter my truck will run but like crap. Cutting out under any type of load ata ll. When I put the filter in it won't run at all. Already have installed new in line filter and frame rail fuel pump. New pressure regulator as well. My theory is that the pump in the tank is not putting out at all or very little and that with out the filter the frame pump can pull enough to make the run but can not supply enough under load, and with the filter the frame pump cant pull enough gas to run.
Any opinions?

Gas Problems on 1986 302 EFI
I changed the low pressure pump in the tank and the truck started up and ran. STill like junk though. Last night I changed the Throttle position Sensor and all is great. Runs like a champ. Doesn't cut out or anything.
Still needed the pumps and filters though.
