Fords problems and imperfections
Howdy Y'all
I found a AOD tranny out of a crown vic police car and I have no woirds too describe it excpet for these
For some reason Im having to remind myself why I ever bought this truck.... Fords are good truck if they have a 300 in them others i have to question anyrate Im done ranting and raving wqhen my truck will run again I dont know Im taking Sunday off so I can go to church where I belong and maybe prayer will help me get my truck running again so i can have transportation. see what is happening is that
it slips when I do get it out on the road and it was leaking like
a sieve got that fixed now the linkage is so backwards in I have No clue what so ever how to reverse it... I can not ever understand why Ford made there linkage anchor onto a shaft instead of making it interchangeable for example dodge uses a keyed way with slots so you can actually take it off and flip it around that makes sence Gm Im not sure havent done one they actually hold up for me. but there again but I will say it looks nice LOL I know Im the only one here who feels like this which is fine have a great day and Godbless

Fords problems and imperfections
If its slipping then its junk. The linkage is interchangable between a car and a truck, but you have to remove the valve body to do so. There are basically only two types of AOD, one that has 10 1/4 tail and the other one which has 11 1/4 other than that you can interchange anything in them.
